Today not only marks the 1st 80 of the year but marks the 14th day this year where temperatures have climbed above 70. We also saw our 2nd warmest morning of the year. The 214 day stretch between in between today and our last 80 (October 4th) ranks as the 17th longest sub 80 steak of all time. This is the latest day in the year we've had to wait for our 1st 80 in 18 years when the 1st 80 came on May 9th in 1996. The record for the earliest 1st 80 is March , while the last 1st 80 on record happened June 5, 1983. By the way, today's high temperature of 82° is more typical for June 13th but the average date for the 1st 80 normally comes around April 21st.
