Good Morning! Welcome to the last day of March. We have a little patchy morning fog. Clouds should clear this morning allowing some afternoon sunshine. It will be cooler but it should be a pleasant afternoon with temps around 60. Avg High is 58.
You know this month we've had about 15 record events recorded. Temps 504° above normal which avgs to temps 16.8° above normal per day. We had 1 day with highs in the 30s. Our last freeze was the morning of March 10. The avg morning low for today is 38°. Of 31 days, 11 mornings were below 40°. As of yesterday, 14 Days recorded above 70°, with 7 days in the 80s. Its Amazing! Shows hows nearly 87% of our month has been mild & above average. This will not be the case in April.Brief April Summary:
The avg high temp increases from 58° on the 1st to 68° on the 30th.
The avg low temp increases from 38° on the 1st to 48° on the 30th.
I think this will be the majority of the setup of the month. We'll have a few cool days and warm days but I think highs in 60s and lows in 40s will dominate most of the months forecast, atleast avg to finish the month.
I'll have a complete March Wrap up and April Averages in my blog by the end of tomorrow.
Tomorrow, expect sunshine in the morning but clouds could increase as a rainmaker is attached to a weak cold front that will pass through Central Indiana late Sunday Afternoon. Rain totals will be weak, ranging from 0.05"-0.25" around most of the state. I think higher totals North. Temps also surge from a Sunday Morning Low in the upper 40s or low 50s to highs near record levels around 80. Rain chances diminish quickly Monday Morning. We have better shot at breaking the record high Monday under Hot, Sunny Skies. The record high for Sunday is 82°, and 81° for Monday both set in 2010. We'll slightly begin to cool off Tuesday in the low to mid 70s but 50s and 60s are in store for Weds-Friday. Below are graphical forecasts from NWS Indianapolis, IN showing high temps Today-Tuesday. Enjoy your weekend!
Sundays High Temps
Mondays High Temps
Tuesdays High Temps
