Weekend Forecast

Good Evening! We are one day away from the last day of this Mild Wacky Month. Almost every state has re-written their cities weather record books from Record Highs, Lows, Precipitation, and even Snowfall. In Indianapolis we set well over a dozen record events, totaling about 20 for the first 3 months. The increasing temperature readings, blowing winds, and increased humidity has allowed pollen levels to climb into the high category. Allergy Season is in full effect. Increased Rain Chances and a Cooler Pattern ahead for the next 2 weeks could allow conditions to be bearable for easily abled sneezers. But any quick dips and fast rising temps could flare things up. Atleast 65% of the next 14 days will be normal to below normal. We will have a few above averaged days mixed in. This better described as Rollercoaster Temps.

Tonight
Another punch of Thunderstorm Activity is in the area, a second round, after the first shorter round moved past this morning. The Sunshine today, adds a little more fuel to the fire here. Damaging Straight Line Winds and Large Hail will be our biggest threat this evening. Looking at a Half inch precipitation but you always expect more where severe thunderstorm activity is present as it can cause some flooding issues due to heavy downpours. Anytime a Storm is present, there is always atleast a 1% chance for a tornado to form but this is currently our lowest risk for today. When Thunderstorms strike, its the best idea to take shelter immediately for a few reasons. Lightning can strike and seriously injure or kill you. Falling Large Hail could also injure you. Blowing Winds can cause heavy objects to strike you, which could also injure or kill you. And Tornados can form without notice leaving you little to no time to prepare. Taking shelter during this time could help keep you and your family safe.

Weekend
The weekend looks fairly dry with Sunshine. Small rain chance for Sunday but it will be in the evening hours when the weekend is almost over. Sunday will be warmer than Saturday with temps near 80. Enjoy!
Special Note: Typo made for Sunday Evening. Forecasting 61 not 53.

Next Week
The month looks to start mild with near record highs. We could either tie or break the record on Monday. But a cooler pattern will start to invade. We could have frost in some places of the state Wednesday Morning, mostly North of Central Indiana. High Temps for much of the week will fall into the 50s and 60s. Lows in the 30s and 40s. Much of the Northeast will see snow in places like Maine, New England, and also New York. Not expecting any here in Indianapolis.

What's Ahead
For the past few weeks I have been hinting a Chilly Easter. I'm beginning to become skeptical. It doesn't look like we'll trend as cold as originally thought but possibly cool. By mid next week this should be become more clear as to where the weather looks to take us. For now, I'm calling for Mixed Sun & Clouds with a comfortable high temperature in the low to mid 60s. Temperatures for April should mostly be Normal with a few more of below normal days than above normal days. Also, precipitation should be Normal. I'd like to note the hot dome of record setting days is NOT a indication to hot summer. At the moment, the summer looks to be Normal, of course, we'll have a few hot days but nothing compared to last summer. Let's focus on April first though. We have 90 days of Spring to get through first.
