Friday Morning Weather Update

The passing of a weak cold front will leave temperatures struggling to top 60s today for much of the state. We'll see some sunshine but I think we'll see some clouds mixed in as well particular in the morning hours. Out of the 41 days this fall season we've had 26 days below normal and 15 days above normal. That equates to 63.4% of our days being below normal. What a remarkable turn around from hot historical summer.
You know we had 9 days this summer with temperatures 100+? Then over 50 days 90+. Temperatures can turn at any moment. We are now on a rollercoaster ride as temperatures going up and down. We hit the upper 70s before last weekend but barely top 50s on Sunday, going from May-like temps to November-like temps in only 72 hours. Now, with a passing of a warm front tomorrow mornings temperatures will once again top the 70s.
We are watching activity out to the west. A developing squall line will push through the plains leading to a severe weather outbreak. Severe T'Storms and Tornadoes will be an issue. This will be traveling eastbound and is expected to pass through the state of Indiana on Saturday Night into Sunday Morning. In fact, SPC has issued a slight risk for severe thunderstorms for Sunday. I'll go more into detail in a future blog soon and have an updated 7 day forecast. Have A Nice Day!
