October ends Cold, November Opens Warmer

What a Spooktacular Halloween! Creeping Clouds lurking around with spotty showers. We will be in for a treat though. More details later in this blog.

Most have stayed dry today. Down to the South, they've been allowed to reach temperature readings into the mid to upper 40s, areas North have only been allowed to see temperatures in the upper 30s, low 40s.
Conditions will begin to start improving starting tomorrow. We'll have a lot more sunshine, less wind, and higher temperatures. As what is left of Sandy pushes up towards Canada and the pressure rises, the winds have begun to ease back. In fact, Monday was more windier than Tuesday. Today they were blowing at 15-22 MPH with Gust up to 25 MPH. They'll continue to fall back and we'll have more calm winds for Thursday. Here's a recap for the past 5 days:
Friday-Highest Wind Speed 23 MPH. Peak Wind Gusts 29 MPH
Saturday-Highest Wind Speed 21 MPH. Peak Wind Gusts 24 MPH
Sunday-Highest Wind Speed 21 MPH. Peak Wind Gusts 24 MPH
Monday-Highest Wind Speed 32 MPH. Peak Wind Gusts 40 MPH
Tuesday-Highest Wind Speed 29 MPH. Peak Wind Gusts 38 MPH

Daylight Savings Time Ends on Sunday, November 4th. We set our clocks back from 2am to 1am. During this month, we lose 55 minutes and 35 seconds of daylight.

Tonight
The clouds should begin to show some clearing. The temperatures will be cold though dropping to readings around freeze levels.

Thursday-Sunday
Sunshine Returns along with warmer temperatures tomorrow. Highs will be back into the 50s but temperatures will still be running 5-10° below normal. Not a huge jump in temperatures. Will keep the sunshine going for Friday and maybe even early on Saturday as well. Showers will move back in for the weekend. Can't rule out a storm or two but nothing severe at the moment.

UPCOMING...
The 50s will mostly hold for the next 7-10 days. But around the 10th of the month, two air masses will clash and we could be looking at a severe weather outbreak. I'll have more details on this in the coming days.
