And then it got warm

Good Evening!
Bright, Sunny Skies on this Early Evening in Central Indiana

Here you go. I got the Weekend Recap, Work Week Forecast, Next Weekend Forecast, Whats Ahead including my 10 day forecast all below.

Past Weekend
The Cold Spell finished its run this weekend. 66 Thursday Morning falling to 32 Thursday Evening. Rising shortly to a high of 45 Friday, then dipping to 27 Early Saturday Morning. Temps began to rise making way back to mid 50s Saturday Afternoon. The sun sets after a beautiful Saturday and the temps fall back to the mid 30s Sunday morning. As high pressure continue to take its toll for the weekend, the thermometer pops up to temperature reading in the mid 60s for Yesterdays Afternoon High. Nearly 170 record high temperatures recorded across the U.S. We will only continue to warm things up.
This Week
Well a line of rain swept past the Midwest last night into this morning hours. The numbers for today wasn't all that impressive. Was expecting between 0.25"-0.50", but this system only dropped 0.09" on our front yards. It appears a system will clip the Northern Portion of the State. The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has placed Northern Indiana in a slight risk for Severe Weather, chance of Tornado being one part(see map below). Great Tuesday & Wednesday is in store for us, Wednesday being the best day of the week. Bright Sunny Skies and near 80° can be expected. There is a small catch though, with the increased temps brings increased chance of rain, however, due to lack of cooler air, severe weather threats will halt, making the next few weeks bearable. Since Gulf Air Moisture will spread across much of the Ohio Valley, with enough instability, this could produce some rainfall and/or spark up a few thunderstorms for Thursday-Saturday. There is an area of Low Pressure from the South that will move into Indiana Thursday Night or Friday Morning. This is our best period of rain during these 3 days. This week temps will average more than 20° above normal.

Near Record Warmth

What's Ahead
May-like Warmth in March. We'll average more than 10° above normal for the next 2 weeks, 20° for this week. Not only Indiana, but 80% of the nation will be keeping close eye on the record books. When I looked through outlook maps last month, April, May, and June was looking to trend cooler and at this point remains unchanged. This could ultimately lean towards the return of Severe Weather. Something to keep in mind. Somethings I will continue to monitor. Click HERE to go back to one of my previous blogs where I give you a few of my safety tips for surviving severe weather.
