Sunday Weather Forecast

Good Evening Folks! Well once again, we broke another record in Indianapolis. At 4:15pm we reached a high of 77 breaking a 118 yr old record high of 76, set back in 1894. Over the past 7 Days since Sunday our Avg High has been 75°, Avging more than 20° Above Normal. We also tie the record for 6 consecutive days with temps 70+° in March. Talk about March Madness. Simply Remarkeable! We have another shot at record again tomorrow. The record is 78°, forecasting 79°.
Chicago has topped 80s for the past 4 days, setting records there. International Falls, MN avgs a high of 35° but they hit a record high of 76° today, 41° above normal. The old record was 55° set in 1968. They hit 55° at 9am. AMAZING! The stretch of record setting warmth will continue to bathe the Central and Eastern U.S. for the next several days. This bubble of mild air will not last, we have a cool down coming as soon as next weekend. More info on this in the days to come.

The EF4 Tornado that ripped through Henryville, Indiana on March 2 killing 13 people was caught on camera. Henryville High School has released security footage showing the deadly twister ripping through the school.. Here's a LINK to the video from Fox59 Indianapolis, IN.

We continue to have the chance of showers and thunderstorms in Central Indiana, none severe. We have some storm activity in St. Louis, MO, passing though Springfield, Illinois heading to Terre Haute, IN to Carmel, IN. This could possibly clip Indianapolis tonight as well.

Very recently 4 students in Seymour, IN and 2 people in Alabama were injured due to lightning. Here's a quick safety tip. If you hear a rumble of thunder use that as a forewarning to take shelter immediately. Its not a good idea to be outside. Lightning can strike 15 miles away from a storm so keep this in mind.
