Good Friday To All! Looks like an approaching cold front will bring some showers to the state that won't put down much precipitation. Within the the next 24 hrs totals range from 0.15"-0.40" for much of the state, looking at a quarter of an inch here in the city. Since this will not arrive until after the noon hrs, this will allow temperatures to warm to near 70s. This will be our last day this warm as temps will be below the 70° mark until the end of next week. Chilly weekend ahead but not cold. Lows should be in the upper 30s, areas away from the city could get to low 30s at or below freezing. Frost is possible. High temps for the weekend will fall to mid 50s.
Today, looking at breezy, mostly cloudy conditions for the morning and afternoon. Wind gusts up to 25 mph. A little sun might happen but rain showers move in accompanied by a cold front and cooler temps. This is where the winds will shift from the south, to west, to mostly North and Northwest for Saturday. This is called a frontal passage (FROPA). FROPA looks to occur around 5 pm during the evening commute, the time the rain looks to arrive. Again, highs today upper 60s, low 70s. Showers tonight, lows will be in the low 40s, some places see upper 30s.

Saturday, showers chances are very limited and weak for the morning hrs. Clouds could hang around though but a few breaks could allow some sunshine. Temperatures should start in the low 40s, and warm to mid to upper 50s. I will note that the morning hrs could be breezy and with winds coming from the North and cooler temps this will make it feel like freezing for those on the Saturday Morning run. Bundle up.
Saturday Overnight Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 30s.
