Last night, thunderstorms rumbled through the city dropping 0.66" of rain between 12AM-6AM. According to a tweet from NWS INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA it appears to be the 1st thunderstorm in 5 months.
Thunder was last reported at the Indianapolis International Airport on October 13. Will it be reported later tonight? It's possible! #inwx

Warmer air is moving back in. Temperatures were up 6 degrees during the morning hours from midnight (43°) to noon (49°). The noon temp was 15° warmer than 24 hours ago (34°). Yesterday's high was 44, today we are expecting a high temperature in the mid to upper 50s or possibly even lower 60s depending on when clouds may thin a little bit and offer up some sunshine. A high temperature of 56 and a low of 36 is considered "normal" for today's date.

Another round of storms will be moving in tonight. Could be in the western portions of the state between 9PM-11PM reaching the city between 12AM-2AM. Should exit the state by lunchtime Thursday. As cooler weather advances in, some spots North could see some of this rain changeover to a handful of snowflakes. Temperatures at midnight tonight will likely be our high for Thursday which should be in the upper 40s or lower 50s. Temps Thursday morning will fall into the lower 40s. Here's are future simulated radar snapshots at 12am and 3AM from the one of the HRRR runs this afternoon and also a future radar snapshot at 12pm Thursday from the morning NAM run.

Friday and Saturday will both be cold days. Temps may not make it out of the 30s with morning lows in the 20s. The record low for Saturday is 16°. Temps will be 20° below normal. Some flurries will be possible on Friday but Saturday looks dry and sunny.

Here is a look at my outlook for the next 10 days. I have chances for rain Sunday through Wednesday along with temperatures going back up.
